This review is going to be a little different (I know I say that a lot). Last Origin is only available in Korea, and while there is an English patch for the Android version, it only translates most of the menu options. All of the character dialogue is unreadable to me. Because of that, I almost didn't know if I should review this game

As stated in my review of Fight Angel, Street Fighter is one of my favorite series of all times. Not only does it have the best (for me) combat system, but it has some of the hottest characters in existence. Fighting games always have the best girls/boys, and this game proves it. But can we make it... sexier?

Early Accsex: Space Rescue
Overview
Space Rescue is a point-and-click adventure game / VN currently in development by CodePink on Patreon. While it would be unfair to review an unfinished game, Early Accsex is a way to talk about positive and negative things about games that are still in early access, or otherwise unreleased. These typically won't be as in-depth as a formal review, and won't have an official rating.
It's the distant future, and you are Keen! A lone repairman on a "rescue and repair" space ship. Your job is to keep the vessel operational by helping out wherever you can, including things like fixing cracked glass, inspecting broken cameras, and running sexy zero-g photo shoots.
The current free demo of Space Rescue is mostly a Visual Novel, with all of the point-and-click gameplay locked behind Patreon rewards. While I understand the rationale behind this, It would be nice if there were one or two very minor puzzles to see how the game handles it. Currently, the items you need to advance the story magically appears in your pockets.
The VN that is the demo is excellent, though. The art is cute and sexy, the scenes flowed well, and the characters are likable. While Lune, the main love (lust?) interest in the demo is hot, the few moments that we see the captain have me excited to play the full game and see what unfolds.
Pros & Cons
Pros:
- Great art
- Unique setting
- Hot characters
- MC is a Commander Keen reference
Cons:
- No point-and-click gameplay in the demo, so impossible to judge quality
- Quite a few grammatical errors (common in games that are still works in progress, so likely to be fixed over time)
Parting thoughts
The entire demo takes about half an hour to complete, and there are a few unfinished backgrounds and sparse animation, but in total, I enjoyed the demo, and I am looking forward to playing the finished project when its out. I love old school, point-and-click adventure games, so I can't wait to see what Space Rescue does with the medium.
